I used to introduce myself saying "my name was Nakia kinda like the cell phone Nokia", but someone thought it was funny and called me Motorola bcuz he couldn't remember my real name(ha ha). I have met 4 other nakia's but only 1 was spelled just like mine. I would like to know the real definition because all i found was:pure and faithful. Not that i mind that definition." It's not only until recent years were unique names are more common that I feel less of an outsider. Last but not least, I get tired of people asking me, where my parents got the name.
