This name can come attached to a few unwanted nicknames but it all depends on preference with that. I know quite a few Micaela's but we all spell it differently. Dr Quinn quickly became my hero :)

Comment left Nov 14, 2006: "My 10-year old daughter's name is Micaela. The original spelling is "Michaela" but I pulled the "h" out as it looked to masculine to me. I got the name from the movie "Lorenzo's oil". Lorenzo's mother, played by Susan Sarandon, was named Michaela. Then, Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman - came out and everyone was exposed to this beautiful name.
