Comment left Jun 21, 2009: "I'm Megan Grace and I was born in 1986. I think my parents picked the name because it went well with our Irish surname (it was either this or Brenden). I guess I called myself "May-May" when I was little and my cousin used to call me "Munyun (rhymes with onion)" until he was old enough to say Megan. My mom was hesitant to name me after my great grandma Grace because she didn't want me to think I had a "old lady" name, but I absolutely love the "Megan Grace" combo. I'd suggest that you spell it "M-E-G-A-N" because then when people ask you how it's spelled you can just say "the easy way."" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 11, 2009: "My parents cursed me with the name Megan LeeAnn on December 20, 1994. I honestly hate my name. I mean come on, "Megan"... it's just sounds weird to me. lol And it drives me crazy when people pronounce it "MEE-gAn", you pronounce my name "MAY-gEn", thank you very much, so no, you may not call me "Meg" because it's not in my name. lol Yes, I'm overly dramamtic about it but whateveeeeer. =] I've been trying to get the nickname "May" to catch on but no luck so far..." Comment left May 25, 2009: "I am a Megan from 1967 and I have only ever met one other when I was 12. It is an unsual name in New Zealand so it surprises me that there are so many now. I am pronounced Mee gan but in the Norther Hemisphere it is MEGun, which is funny sounding to me ! Get shotrened to Meegs or Megz - only two prople have called me MEG which I hate" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 14, 2009: "My names Megan and i love it. Just recently i figured out that its supposed to be pronounced (M Egg In) apposed to (May Gen) I hate it when people pronounce it wrong now just because it makes the name more unique for me. I'd really like Meg to catch on. =]" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 12, 2009: "My name is Meagan. It is pronounced Meegan. I have been told by people that pronouncing with a long 'e' is a Welsch thing, however I have also heard that the Welsch pronounciation is May-gun. I love how my name is pronounced. It is unique and I have met very few that spell it and pronounce it the same (usually one of variations is different). My nicknames are Me, Mea(Mia), Meag, and Meags." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 27, 2009: "I was born in 1987. I would love the name if it only weren't so popular and so 80s-90s. I feel like it's really going to date me when I'm old. In my high school class of about 100 people there were 5 Megans. Each got a number so I was Megan #2 throughout high school. My best friend from highschool was also named Megan, and we got called Megan Squared. It's funny because someone else on here said that little kids call her May-May, and that happens with me too!" Comment left Mar 16, 2009: "MY name is megan and almost all the years of elementary school, someones else in my class has been another "megan" same with sports teams. although alot of other girls have my name, I LOVE IT! I think my name fits me and my personality. I sometimes look as myself as an "elizibeth" or "nichole" or "hannah" but megan seems to fit me. its apart of me, i will never change my name, its like changing a part of me." Comment left Dec 28, 2008: "my best friends name is Megan and there are 5 megans in our chorus class at school alone. not to mention the dozens of other megans at our school. i call her Meg and so do most people. im the only one whose allowed to call her megan and only when im mad at her" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 21, 2008: "I'm a Megan, and I love my name. My sister had a more unique name, and I used to wish I had her name.... but I really like mine now. Hers is now becoming more popular, so no matter what name you have, it may become unoriginal at some point in your life. You never know!" (Report as inappropriate)
