My mum calls me Meg if she remembers my preference or Margaret when she is in mum-mode. People do ask me to spell it though which is a bit funny - how much simpler can M-E-G be??" Was originally called that for a couple of days but my parents changed it to Victoria as my Dad didn't like it.
My older brother went back to Uni thinking I was called Meg and still to this day calls me 'Meggie'
Like the people in the other comments, alot of people assume it's Megan.
And some think it's sounds like a weird gypsy.
