Mom wanted to name me Macy but Dad said he didn't want people thinking I was a department store! haha! I am so glad there isn't many Mazie's! It was really cool to see others with my name... and middle name!

Comment left Aug 30, 2009: "My mother was Mazie--born in 1920 and she hated it! I named my daughter Crystal Mae--with the Mae being as close as I dared to get to Mazie! I wish she could have read all these other Mazies who love their name--maybe she would have liked it better. She was often called Maze or Amazing Mazie!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jun 09, 2009: "I see someone here has a daughter named Mazie Jane. Our babygirl, 12 months old is also... Mazie Jane aka MJ!!! That is sooooo crazy, we thought she was the one and only Mazie Jane!! I love her name as well." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 21, 2009: "My name is Mazie Elizabeth too! That is so crazy that other people have that same thing going on. People mispronounce it all the time, and when i write it in cursive, where the z curls down like a g, people think it says Magie (Maggie). It was my great great grandma's name and she was native american. I love my name. Everyone says that no other name would fit me. I guess you just grow into it. It's different but it's pretty and feminine. I wouldn't change it for anything else." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 14, 2009: "My 7 week old daughters name is Maisie Camilla. I first read this name ten years ago in the book Angela's Ashes. I fell in love with the name. Its pronounced the same as Mazie just spelled differently. People comment everytime they meet her how unique and adorable her name is, just like her." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 14, 2009: "My daughter is now 13 months old. Her name is Mazie Jane. So far, she's the only one I know! My grandmother's name was Marjorie and I read somewhere that Mazie is a shortened form of Margaret and/or Marjorie. My other grandma's name is Jane. She has already been nicknamed MJ, but her bigger brother likes to call her Mazie Maze! I love the name!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Mar 18, 2009: "My 20 month old daughter is named Mazie Dannae with a "Z". I have always loved this name and can't ready remember where I heard or saw it first. I just thought it was a beautiful and unique name, and liked the idea that she'll most likly be the only one in school with that name. I also have people pronouning it wrong and saying Macy instead of Mazie. I just correct them and say it's Mazie with Z. :-)The nicknames she has already are Maze, Corn (her Aunt calls her that), Mazer, and Daisy head Mayzie(after the book by Dr. Seuss). She's just learning to say she name and so far it come out "May nana" which means Mazie Dannae! :-) Everyone we meet loves her name and we do too." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 16, 2009: "Mazie is my granddaughter's name. Her mom found it in a book when she was young and fell in love with it. We pronounce it May-zee and many people think we are saying Macy. Most people say they love it and have never heard of it before." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 02, 2009: "My husband and I are expecting our first child. If it is a girl we are naming her Mazie Paige. My father's grandma was Hally Mae and went by Mazie. I think it is an absolutely adorable name!" (Report as inappropriate)
