Comment left Oct 25, 2008: "I have encountered quite a few girls/women with the name Luanne, although they don't all spell it the same way I do (Luanne). Just as the person in the above message wrote, my name gets butchered up in the spelling and the pronounciation. In addition to "Louanne", "LuAnn", "LuAnne", I have had it pronounced "Loo-waan" and have been called LeAnn more times than I care to count! And considering that my last name is "Lennie" people really get my name screwed up and usually call me "Lenny" as a first name." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 03, 2006: "I love that my name is so unique - I have only ever met one other Luanne who spelt it differently.I often get comments on how pretty my name is. My dad wanted me to by leanne, but my mum thought it was to common, so they settled on Luanne.
However, I also hate my name because no one can ever spell it correctly. I often get Louanne, Lu-anne or Lou-anne, and it is often mispronounced as 'low-anne' or 'loowaan'. Nicknames are Luey, Lu, Lulu and the disliked primary school names luey the fly and looh-poo. i often have to say my name twice when being introduced to someone." (Report as inappropriate)
