Comment left Jun 02, 2008: "My grandmother named me Louise. To me it was just a name growing up, but I do love my name. Work colleagues , family and friends all call me Lulu, it makes me smile then I know I'm in their good books. I have a daughter called Lois- Louise and four nieces with Louise as their middle names." Comment left May 07, 2008: "My favorite story about my name is from second grade when I was given the word "please" to spell out loud. One boy in my class objected because it sounded too close to my name of Louise and it wasn't fair that I got such an easy one!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 29, 2008: "Louise was my great-grandmother's middle name, my grandmother's middle name, and her daughter's middle name (my aunt). I think it is a beautiful and classic name and if I have another daughter I hope to name her Louise." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 21, 2008: "i live in america and i have never meant anybody with the same name as me which is obviously louise, some people do butcher it with obnoxious hick accents" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 16, 2008: "This is my name and i love it. I think louise is a very pretty name, i was born in the UK and its a very popular name over there for girls in their twenties. I have now moved to Australia and its less common but i still meet quite afew Louises. From what i've found Louise is not really used in America, maybe with your accent, i guess it wouldnt sound as nice." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 12, 2008: "I've never liked my name Louise until recently, just very surprised that it's almost obsolete. What a shame. Tis a beautiful name and I'm loving it now." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 08, 2008: "This is my name. I am proud of it and love it because there are not many others I have met with the same name. It is feminine and my father gave me the name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 07, 2007: "I'm in my 30's and named after both my grandmothers, Louise Marie. I was called Weezie as a kid, but requested to be called Louise when I was in my teens. I had many fun nicknames, (Squeeze, Louie, Louisiana) men I have met really like the name because it's different and some say beautiful. Personally I feel it's a bit old-fashion, but it's nice to have a unique name rather than a common one." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Sep 06, 2007: "Meh, it's not too bad I SUPPOSE, it kinda sounds... Old? Not that that's a bad thing. My names Louise aswell, and I don't know any other Louises. Which I love =P. Everyone pronounces it correctly, thank GOD. my nickname is "Loolah" haha." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Aug 09, 2007: "this is my name too but here i kno at least 4 people with the same name its quite common where i like scotland. i like my name but if i have a nickname is lou" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jul 04, 2007: "I was born in 1953, and when I attended Junior High School all the "old lady" school teachers were named Louise. I changed my name to Sandy for one summer when I was 14, because all my friends were named Susie, Mary and Debbie. Now I enjoy my name, although very young children have a tendency to call me "Weez" which I hate!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 06, 2007: "ya i love my name but for some reason people seem to forget the 'u' when they spell it. when i was younger i used to get teased because of the way it sounds, i.e- Loo, Wees etc. I really like it though, its not too common. I'd hate to have a name that everyone has like 'Sarah'." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 11, 2007: "My name is Louise and i love it! i dont know anyone else with the name Louise because its so unique! my parents were going to call me Frances so im so glad i got named Louise instead. :D" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 04, 2007: "I'm English and I think it was a popular name for girls of my generation (1970's) in England. Here in USA, I've never met a single person with this name. In grade school it was always pronounced wrong "Luis", which used to embarrass me. Now that I'm an adult I love it, it sounds artsy and unique." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 02, 2007: "My name is Cara Louise. My grandmother's name was nelta louise so I was named after her. Thank god my parents didn't give me the name nelta! It's an okay name but I wouldn't name any of my kids louise" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 09, 2007: "I was named after a grandmother who died 5 years before I was born. I didn't really like my name growing up, it was too different, no one else had it. Now I love it, no one else has it!" (Report as inappropriate)
