User Comments about the name Louise
Comment left Mar 06, 2009: "Hi, I'm Louise Joanne, and I love my name. I'm now 37 years old.
It's better than some of the other 70's kids names, you know the common ones. When I went to school I was the only girl of that name.
My Mother almost called me Cassandra, until everyone protested about it, and I'm so glad she didn't 'cause I much prefer Louise.
It's unique, and sounds a bit posh don't you think? LOL!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 24, 2009: "We are thinking of naming our daughter Louise. I think it's a beautiful name, but I'm still getting used to it!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 02, 2008: "I love my old timey name now. People always spell it wrong and call me "Lois", but that's okay. I'm used to it. People call me Weez or Weezy. I rarely meet other Louises but when I do we have a laugh. I'm not a cat or a grandma, Louise is a classic name." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Nov 22, 2008: "itęs my second middle name :) wouldnęt mind it as a first name:D" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Nov 10, 2008: "I hated being named Louise because everyone was a Lisa, Linda, Karen or Donna. But now I love having an uncommon name and named my daughter Valerie because that is also uncommon." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 21, 2008: "My middle name is Louise, I love the way it sounds. As pointed out below, it was very popular in the UK during the 70s and 80s and there were several Louises in my year at school, but you don't see any babies or children called Louise now, they are more likely to be Louisas." I was named after my aunt who passed away at a young age from Leukemia. So my mom didnt just pull the name out of the air." (Report as inappropriate)

Work colleagues , family and friends all call me Lulu, it makes me smile then I know I'm in their good books. I have a daughter called Lois- Louise and four nieces with Louise as their middle names." Comment left May 07, 2008: "My favorite story about my name is from second grade when I was given the word "please" to spell out loud. One boy in my class objected because it sounded too close to my name of Louise and it wasn't fair that I got such an easy one!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 21, 2008: "i live in america and i have never meant anybody with the same name as me which is obviously louise, some people do butcher it with obnoxious hick accents" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 16, 2008: "This is my name and i love it. I think louise is a very pretty name, i was born in the UK and its a very popular name over there for girls in their twenties. I have now moved to Australia and its less common but i still meet quite afew Louises. From what i've found Louise is not really used in America, maybe with your accent, i guess it wouldnt sound as nice." (Report as inappropriate)
