I think it's very pretty and have no idea where she heard it. I never steared toward the name just because I know it's become a very popular name of celebrity children. I also like Lyla. I don't know anyone with the name Lola (other than Kelly Ripa's daughter). My Grandmother's name was Lola and it means strong woman. It was our only choice. It's a unique name but I also wanted to make sure that it wasn't too different since she will eventually need to get a job one day. Like it or not, people are judged by their names. If they are too strange, people make the assumption that they are in some way odd, strange, etc. My little one is a wonderful child - happy, lots of personality, etc. The name fits her beautifully." I absolutely adore the name, even before I got married I knew if I had a girl she'd be Lola. It really suits her personality - "Strong Woman" and the song "Whatever Lola Wants Lola Gets" was written about my daughter, I swear, she always finds a way to get what she wants.
