Comment left Jun 14, 2010: "My full name is Alexis but my whole life I have been called Lessie. I was born in 95 and have never met anyone else with my name and nor has anyone I know so the difficulty people have with it is phenomenal. The number of times I have been called Lexy, Leslie, Lezzie.... I didn't even realise it was a real name. I just always loved being unique and different." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 01, 2010: "My Name is Lessie. Born in 78 in Louisiana outside of Baton Rouge. Got my name from my Great Grandmother Lessie Lode. Never had a chance to meet her. But I have had a few other Lessie's I have met during my life so far. It is kinda fun to see what people come up with to mis-pronounce my name. I've been called: Lassie, Nessie, Bessie, Lezzie (that one was funny), Leslie, and so on. LOL!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 27, 2010: "My name is Lessie. I was named after my paternal grandmother. I was born in 1965. My name is always pronounced incorrectly, I never understand why. It's simple, rhymes with Jessie, just replace the J with an L." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 08, 2009: "I was born in 1979 (Venezuela, yes, Latinamerica), my name is also Lessiż, you can notice the accent in the final e... that makes difference between Lassie (e does not sound) and Lessiż... But I cannot really understand why people keep on calling me Leslie, Lesi, Lizi, LessiA, Alicia...
I love my name, and is not usual at all in Venezuela.
We have a nice name... it sound like "the eyes" in french... btw... people tends to remember "our" name when they think about "Monsieur" in french... people always ask me if I am french... but this name is not common in France (funny).
The venezuelan Lessiż :)" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Nov 18, 2008: "My name is Lessie. Born 1958. The name is the number 694 most popular name for girls in the US. It is Scottish for "Garden by the Pond" and is derived from Leslie. Sweet name with uniqueness for the beholder." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 27, 2008: "I heard people pronounce the name both Leslie and Lezlie. I pronounce it either way. Sometimes I get on to people if they pronounce it wrong. The Leslies that I'd met in the pass were very kind. there is a para educator at my school that looks out for me. She was born in 1964. At least she drives the speed limit! She doesn't do 95 in a 55 speed zone like other maniacs. Leslie is one of my favorite names. It was popular around the sixties and seventies. All though in the state of Texas, it was popular from the sixties to the present. The yungest Leslie I know was born around 1970. But That was about 6 years ago when I knew her. She was a teacher at my school. Love the name!" (Report as inappropriate)

Now that I'm older I get lots of comments on it that it's a beautifule, cute, adorable and all so I don't mind much anymore. I like it because it sets me apart from the rest of my friends and that's just find with me!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Nov 08, 2007: "My name is Lessie, I was named after an aunt of my mother. I was born 1948, in Montana. It took me a long time to like my name, but I realize that I am an individual, and have the name of one. I also can tell who my friends are by how much attention thay have paid to my name. If they know me for a long time, and still callme Leslie, how much can they really know me. I have met only a couple of Lessie's in my lifetime." (Report as inappropriate)
