However even though she has now turned out to have bright blonde hair and blues eyes, and the name means 'Dark' in Hebrew, she still really suits it. I happened across a tribute video on youtube one day.... it was actually quite ironic...because I had intended on a family name and Layla isn't one...I just happened to pull that name out of the baby book and decided I liked it and thought that Grace sounded good with it!" Just three years ago it was not very popular and a bit exotic for the US. Now it seems to be becoming as popular as Amy or Jen for people born in the 70s. I hope it falls off in popularity because one of the original appeals of the name was the uniqueness. It will loose its charm if it moves into the top 25. It's because Clapton's song and the sonority of it we chose this name,although people are wandering why such a name with no arabic origins.

Now that I am an adult I appreciate, and absolutely love my name and the fact that I have never met another. I get so many compliments on how beautiful my name is.
