It's because Clapton's song and the sonority of it we chose this name,although people are wandering why such a name with no arabic origins.

Comment left Jul 29, 2008: "We named our daugther Layla ,after the song, but also because Layla in Hebrew means "to be intoxicated by wine" and i craved chardonnay during my pregnancy and could not have it! Why couldn't i have craved chocolate?! No one seems to mention that Lord Byron wrote about a Layla in his poems, but spelt it Leiyla, i think. Layla is two now and the name becomes more popular, i hope she still loves it as much as her father and i do in years to come, all our friends and family love it.
