I try to point out the subtle difference between my name and Carey/Karrie/Carrie/Kari etc. is the difference between Merry Christmas! and Getting Married. So, Please don't ask me to Carry your books, Carry on, Carey Grant, Carry a tune...
I'm also jazzed at its Irish/Gaelic roots--No wonder I am U2 obsessed--it's meant to be! I also got to make a dream trip to County Kerry Ireland in the summer of 2006 (something I've wanted to do since 1982 when I discovered the boys from Dublin). It was fabulous! Even more reason to love my name.
