I heard the name when I was about 12 and fell in love with it and knew if I ever had a daughter I would name her KeeLee. We chose to spell it as we did because my husband, father and brother all have the middle name Lee. Also, we thought capitalizing the L would make people give it a second glance and not misprounouce it as Kelley. KeeLee tells people who spell it with a lower case l that it's misspelled. She loves her name and especially the spelling because it's so unique - just like her.

We call her KiKi, in fact I think she thought KiKi was her name until recently. I really wanted an Irish name for her. Usually, on the first day of school, my teachers pronouce it Kelly, but that's OK. When I correct them, they always compliment me on how beautiful it is. Sadly, they usually spell it "Keeley". Its a hell of name, a unique name......perhaps thats the reason so many seem to dislike it.(check out the KEELY, coments section) ive never recieved anything but curiousity or praise for my odd name. I love it. it is strong , odd, simple, and rather beautifull. I hold this name proudly.

Very frequently, people misread my name and refer to me as being called Kelly, which really annoys me, because it makes me feel like a chav. Additionally, my form tutor of 3years still refers to me as Kelly, which really does push my buttons!
