I know one person at school who pronounces (Kay-lynn) and spells her name exactly like me, and another girl who's name is pronounced like mine. The meaning I found in the baby book I had said it means beloved sweetheart. The only down side to this name is people tend to mis-spell it since there are so many ways you can spell Kaylen. They also tend to pronounce her name Kate-Lynn rather than Kay-Lynn. Other than that the name suits her perfect. She is an extreme girlie girl, outgoing, and a real go getter! She also is not the least bit shy to people! To whomever is considering this name for their child my advice would be just to repeat it to yourself over and over. The name came from the Russian name Kaylena. But we cut the a off because it rhymed with my last name.
