Comment left Mar 21, 2009: "'Instant Karma' was a John Lennon song in the early Seventies (following the break-up of the Beatles), then in 1983 the British pop band Culture Club, one of the "New Romantics" of that era, sang 'Karma Chameleon'." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 17, 2009: "My name is Karmah, and i have had it for 27 years, i love it, it's a fab name, and has lots of twists to it. your wrong about babies concieved accidentally as nothing is ever an accident, it was meant to be." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 10, 2008: "I feel I should leave a comment since the one left before mine wasn't too positive. I named my daughter Karma. It had nothing to do with my relationship with her father, or what I might have been "pinning on her so blatantly" I named her Karma because she was my good Karma! Things were different with her from the very moment I found out I was pregnant...different in the sense that all other mothers I had talked to, weren't experiencing the same things I was, and even now, the name suits her even more. She's an amazing little girl, far beyond her years. I feel as though her name is a badge of honor, not something she should feel negatively about. Her name has a deep and significant meaning, both with us, her parents, and by the definition of the word. I wanted her to feel special, important, and unique. Having a unique name myself, I liked it growing up. It was nice to not be an Ashley, or a Jennifer...I want her to feel the same, and if we're going to be pinning responsibilities on kids, then yes, I guess I expect her to live up to her name, and it's meaning, just as any other parent would... I must say though, I take pleasure in knowing there has only been 926 girls since 1880 named Karma. Nothing like standing out in a crowd!
Regards,
Karma's mom Kyla" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 14, 2008: "I have noticed it's the new "Destiny" type of name. Popular for babies concieved accidentally that end up causing a couple who was splitting to remain together. Seems alot to pin on a kid so balatantly." (Report as inappropriate)
