We ended up shortening our names towards the end of high school to Kay and KT. It was just soooo much easier that way. We liked the name Kai and my middle name and my mother's middle name is lynn, so we stuck it together and spelled it the way we liked best, not knowing it was becoming popular and it suits her very well. I read some where else that it means "pure, fun loving". If you can't see how it's spelled, people mistake it for Kai "T" lyn all the time.
