Comment left Aug 25, 2009: "Our daughter's name is Kaia Marin. We have a son whose name is Andrew Jevon and he goes by Jevon. We got this name from a street sign in Lake Charles, LA. As we were expecting our second child we were having trouble coming up with names. A lady my wife works with saw that name in a magazine just after Cindy Crawford named her girl that, and she knew we liked unique names. When my wife told me the name we absolutely fell in love with the name for our little girl." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 09, 2009: "We named one of our twins Kaia Mai a pretty name for a pretty girl. Also read on here once it means bossy and strong in Maori - she is that too!! Also means spear in Aboriginal so lots of meanings but the 'earth' and 'pure' meanings are lovely. her twin brother is named Taio Anthony pronounced like the european way of Theo (Tey-o) but TAIWO we found out after is 'he who tastes the world first' - first born of twins and he was!!" Comment left Aug 05, 2009: "I was born in 1987 and my name is Kaia. Looking at the charts I am deeply saddened to see how trendy my name has become. Thanks Cindy Crawford. Growing up I met 2 other Kaias. It's sad to see that the next generation of my namesake won't experience the same uniqueness. :(" (Report as inappropriate)

I have a Hawaiian friend who's grandSON is named Kaia and I have also met a little Spanish girl named Kaia. They both claim to be from the origin of the name Kaia. Cindy Crawford also named her little girl Kaia. Very Beautiful!" (Report as inappropriate)

Kaia because they like the name maya but we knew a maya so it would be confusing so they thought of kaia." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 01, 2009: "I chose "Kaia" for my new daughter because of a family tradition of naming females with the initials "KAH". I am a nature lover, and Gaea/Gaia is the ancient Greek mother-earth goddess. "Kaia" is another Greek pronounciation of the name, so it was perfect. I hope that she will grow to be a lover of all things green and good too." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 01, 2009: "My daughter's name is Kaiah (ka-ee-ya), she was born on the 20 of december 2007. I read somewhere that it means the sea.We think it's a really exotic name for an very exotic girl." (Report as inappropriate)
