Now I'm forever pronouncing it correctky for people & spelling out my name to everyone, however I do have fun with it too... if a fax/letter etc is addressed to Kayla, I don't deal with it because it's not me. My mom also did not want people calling me Kay for short so she spelled it with a "e" instead of a "y". She did it also so that I would have an unusual name. It was so cool reading all the other Kaela's stories! It kind of never occurred to me that there were more of us out there, since I have never met a "Kaela" only "Kayla"s. I think the name is okay, it's not the best name in the world but it's not to bad. I'm still young though so maybe when I'm older I'll learn to love it like so many others do!!" I chose the name without a baby book by using part of my nickname which is Kae a derivative of Kathleen and it also spells out my initials K.A.E. thus the name of Kaela for my baby girl after losing two sons two years prior.
