Comment left Mar 22, 2010: "I treasure my name my Dad picked it
born 1948
am usually called Jude or Judie" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Nov 25, 2009: "I meet many others around my age named Judith and a lot of them have the same middle name as mine, which is Ann. I was walking around in my long skirt one day and a really elderly lady came up to me and said "you look so nice and your name either has to be Judith or Rebecca". I was amazed and said "yes, my name is Judith".
I do go by Judy but when I was young and living at home I knew when my father said to me "Judith Ann", that I had better listen up fast. I do like my name. I was born in 1941." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 18, 2008: "My name is Judith, and I'm alright with my name... although it sounds rather old fashioned. I know many women 20-30 years older than me (i'm 27) with my name, so it makes me feel like my name's a bit outdated... but I like being called Jude as it sounds a bit more unique and uncommon." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 25, 2007: "my name is Judith and i don'y like it because many people that i know have that name." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Sep 26, 2007: "My name is Judith - born in the 70s in the Netherlands. I've never had any issues with my name and have never really thought it old fashioned. Maybe it is more common in the Netherlands? My family calls me Juud (pronounced something like "Ute"!!!), which is the Dutch shortening of it." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 29, 2007: "Judith is my name and I was born in the 40's. I was named after a family friend and I feel honored that I was named after someone who was held in very high esteem. Since I am a very informal person, I am usually called Judy but am not offended in any way if I am called by my proper name." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 21, 2007: "My mom's name is Judith but she goes by Judy. She always says it's such an old-fashioned name but it was popular in her days." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 15, 2007: "My mother's name is Judith. She usually signs everything with "Judy" though. I don't think it is a bad name, I kind of like that it is different. We know a few other women named Judy, but they are all over 30 years old. It is an older name, but it's classic!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Nov 16, 2005: "I've never liked being named Judith. It sounds pompous to me and I'm very down to earth. My nickname is Judy and I don't really like that either. It sounds corny. On TV and in the movies, characters named Judy always have a dorky or negative persona." (Report as inappropriate)
