Comment left Oct 09, 2009: "My name is just plain Jocelyn, and I love it. I don't care how people pronounce my name. It is spelled wrong almost all the time. The most common nickname I get is Joccy. I haven't met anyone named Jocelyn except a little girl. i just love, love, love my name!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 31, 2009: "I was born in the early 70's. My name is JOSALYN NICOLE pronounced JOS-A-LYN. I dont see many people spell it that way. Most people just call me JOS but most of the time I get called ROSLYN. I am seeing the name alot more common now a days but not many people my age. and you can imagine all the diffrent ways people spell it. Even my work doesnt have it spelled correctly on my paychecks. LOL" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 25, 2009: "I named my baby girl Jocelyn Ariah.. She is so beautiful!! & my grandma called her Josh~a~lyn for the longest now she says it right but now she spells it wrong every time.. I like it with the 3 syllables best. Her dad, I & her brother call her JoceAH (Jossa) for short. B/c her middle name is Ariah. :)" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jul 16, 2009: "my name is jocelyn and i love my name even knowing im 12" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jul 08, 2009: "My daughter's name is Jocelyn - she gets Joss from one set of grandparents and Jossie by my mother ( I can't stand that nickname)
My husband has dubbed her JoJo - and I am pretty sure that one wills stick... My mother in law drives my nuts though because she pronounces it with 3 syllables....the middle syllable (if there) should not be very obvious! Joss-UH-Lyn.... I pronounce it Joc-lyn...
What a beautiful name though!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 26, 2009: "Hey! my name is also Jocelyn. I dont know many other people with this name but I really like it! Most people pronounce it right, but can't spell it at all: Joclyn, Joslyn, Joslin, Jacquelin, Josslin...etc." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 20, 2009: "Hey fellow Jocelyns. I am also a Jocelyn, obviously. I grew up being the only one around since I was born in 1969. I get called Joycelyn more than anything, but in the 80's in was mostly Roslyn, although I have been called all of the names people listed here. People are starting to get it right now that it is gaining popularity. My in-laws call me Josh, my family calls me Jocie, my dad calls me Jozlyn, my mother calls me Jos-a-lyn, while friends call me Joss. I'm sad to see our precious, unique name getting more and more common. It is beautiful though and I've heard that a million times!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 19, 2009: "My name is Jocelyn and it drives me nuts when people call me Jozzlyn. I'm glad to hear its not just me but seriously, where do people get the "z" from?? Other than this I love my name!! My friends call me Jocie or Josie or Joce." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 29, 2009: "I transferred schools about a month and a half ago and all my teachers and classmates still call me Jozzlyn or Joycelyn. It gets on my nerves but I guess they are still adjusting to me." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 08, 2009: "My name is Jocelyn. I was an 80's baby. My parents shortened my name to Jocy. I have loved my name. The only problem growing up as a Jocy "jaw-see" is that no one gets is right. I have gotten "joycey" "joey" "jocie"
"jocky" -seriously, by school staff on the P.A. When I became an adult I went back to Jocelyn and then tell people on an individual basis that they can call me Jocy when they get to know me. I also get Joc. pronounced "Joss". I like that too :) I love being more unique cause not many people my age have the name. Thank you mom and dad ;)" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 03, 2009: "My name is Jeannette but when i have a daughter im going to name her Jocelync i think its a very beautiful name" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 29, 2009: "Stumbled upon this site and finally feel I've found people who understand! My name is Jocelyn and nobody gets it right. Most common: Jacqueline, Joycelyn, Joshlin, Jozlin, Rozlin. Was Jocie as a child because my mother's name is also Jocelyn and she was known as Joce. My grandmother's favorite lullaby was from the opera "Jocelyn" which is how we came by the name." (Report as inappropriate)
