Comment left Jun 13, 2006: "My name is always pronounced (should be "I lean") and spelled wrong. I've seen it with at least 7 different spellings: Eileen, Eilene, Aileen, Ailene, Ilene, Ileen, Ilean. But if I tell the really bad joke, what does a one legged woman call herself? (I lean) - people don't forget it. Also the song, Come On Eileen helped, but the song Goodnight Irene confuses and more people know Irene's than they do Ilene's." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 13, 2006: "My Mom and I are both named Ilene. My grandparents wanted to combine their mother's names: Idella and Lena and came up with Ilene. I was named after my mother because when my parents were about to agree on the name, Dawn, my Dad said he had an ex-girlfriend named Dawn.
