She is my grndmother and she showed me so much love for me when I was growing up that I gave my daughter the middle name IDELL. My daughter is now 6. I was named after one of my dads girlfriends of all things when I was small some friends asked of they could name the daughter after me. when my family was grown we had gone out to eat and the hostess came over to see if Idell had been to my table I said I was still there she thought I was nuts till I told her that was my name. The waitress named Idell was from California and had never heard of of met anyone with the name. In Bremerton Washington is a street named Idell I stopped and took a picture of the street sign. And last oneday I overheard some ladies talking about how Idell was doing-- recognized their voices at the checkout line and asked their Idell was a local doctors wife. When he came into out place of business some time later I asked about her seems we had alot of strange habits that were in common with out name." (Report as inappropriate)

I love this name it's different but I still can't under stand how hard it is to pronoce I-Dell. You pronounce it as it's spelled. some peole who call themselves Idell spell it Adelle. It is very unique and it comes with very unique personalities. My mother's name was Idell and she was Miss Minnesota in 1953...so beauty went along with her name.
