User Comments about the name Harriet
Comment left Jan 17, 2008: "My baby sister was named Harriet. Poor girl, we always teased her and called her "Henry" and "Henrietta" and "Harvey," any any other ugly name beginning with an H that we could think of. It's a most unfeminine name, and perfect if you want your kid teased through adolescence--and beyond. (We're in our 30s, and I still call my sister Henry.)" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Dec 23, 2006: "This is my name and I'm only 20 VV!! Even though it's a typical English name (and I'm English), I still have to repeat about 3 times to everyone that says "What's your name?". It's old and traditional, but not unfashionable, I think." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 03, 2006: "This is my daughter's name (born 2005). We love it. People sometimes spell with two "t's". Not sure if she'll go by Harriet or Hattie. We wanted a traditional name that would be unique in her generation. So far so good. I have yet to meet someone younger than 40 with this name." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Nov 22, 2005: "i *LOVE* this name and named my daughter Harriet -- it's a love it/hate it name, unusual but still easy to pronounce -- it doesn't try too hard to be cool and ends up being much cooler as a result ;-)" (Report as inappropriate)
