Yes I do get mispronunciations even from people that I know. Recently a boy I knew from the year before saw me and said "Hey Haley!" and was 100% positive that I was messing with him when I said it was Hallie, NOT Haley." (Report as inappropriate)

Crazy thing,one christmas saw 2 cabbage patch dolls named Hallie & Cami &wanted to hold them,lady said those were her twin neices names ! Then was working with Donna in dresses and each of us kept hearing our names called ? Found out there were 2 ladies in fitting room named Hallie & Donna who were best friends! Now I love the fact that my name is unusual, even though I get frustrated by the mispronunciation of, the name, I have been called "Holly", "Hailey", "Hattie", and one of my friends fathers thought my name was "HOWIE", he called me that for all most a week and finally asked me why my parents would give me a mans name, I had to tell him "Hallie, Like Sally, but with an H"!" I don't think I have ever been called holly, but almost everyone I meet has trouble pronouncing my name. Most people will either say kallie, hayley, or just have a hard time getting past the h, and I have to repeat it. When I am with my friends, they often correct anyone who pronounces it incorrectly." She will tell them fast what her name is and ask if they can read lol.
