User Comments about the name Eden
Comment left May 30, 2008: "We named our daughter Eden and love it. Her olderst brother's name starts with "C", then another brother with "D", so we wanted an "E" name. Dr's offices would say "he" a lot, even though she was dressed head to toe in pink, and it was annoying. I think it's such a girly name, but as others have said it's a matter of opinion. I hope she grows up to love it as much as we do, she's 2 1/2 now." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 12, 2008: "My son Eden Gabriel was born on July 18th 2006 and it just suits him so well. I still find it strange when I hear the name used for girls and it sounds so masculine and is traditionally a boys name. I guess it's just a matter of opinion." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 12, 2008: "My daughter is Eden Diana, I think it's a beautiful name and so pleased we found it!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 06, 2008: "Thanks for your comments...this really helps! I am 5 months along now and having a very difficult time deciding on a name. I have always LOVED Eden but I usually do not get a great response...it nice to hear positive comments!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 10, 2008: "My birthday is in 1973, and was given the name Eden. Up until recently I hadn't really come across too many others that share my name. It does seem too have gotten quite popular, which does not surprise me, as it is a beautiful name that evokes images of perfect grace... I am female, and growing up with Eden was something I have grown to love." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 06, 2008: "My daughter was born on February 20, 2008. her name is Eden Niobe. I love it! It goes well with her big brother and big sister names(Solomon & Zuri). Eden also has a unisex feel to it." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 06, 2008: "After 7 months of searching for the perfect name, Eden fits the bill..Although my husband and I are not religious, Eden is thought to be "perfect" and "paradise"..sounds good to me!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 14, 2008: "We are going to name our first daughter, Eden. Because it's such a beautiful name. And not much of people that we know name is Eden." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 26, 2008: "We named our daughter, Eden. We got the name off the soap opera "Santa Barbara". Sometimes people think her name is "Edith". They are goofy. It is a beautiful name. We love our Eden!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 10, 2008: "my daugthter is named Eden, which didnt go down too well with the oldies at first, as it is very unusual and a lot of people have never met any Edens before. They have slowly warmed to it and you know it is good to stand out a bit from the crowd. I do like it for a boys name but prefer it used for a girl. time will tell if it causes any problems for her but but i dont think it will as it sounds sweet." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Nov 29, 2007: "I love this name. My daughter"s name is Eden. most of the time people pernounce it correctly but there is that rare occasion it is pernounced (Aiden). But the name totally fits my little princess" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Nov 12, 2007: "My son Eden Gabriel is now 16 months old and my wife and I always loved the name. Below is a little piece I found about the name Eden....
"It is traditionally considered to be a masculine baby name. Its bearers are remarkable for their purposefulness, clarity and certainty of their plans as well as their adherence to one idea and one credo. They are strong characters, stubborn and sometimes belligerent. Quite often, they are individualists and sometimes even egotists. Self-confidence, intellectual curiosity, vigour and aspiration for leadership - these are their features"." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 19, 2007: "My mother told me that she chose my name because it meant "all things feminine and beautiful". While I have yet to find that definition in a baby name book, I must say that people have told me that my name evokes sensuality and femininity. I know very few Edens and have always appreciated having a unique name." (Report as inappropriate)
