Comment left May 28, 2008: "Reminds me of the 1970s Swedish pop quartet Abba, this name does, plus the fact that it comes from the Old English Eadburga, meaning "prosperous fortress". As a German name, it is short for any girl's name containing an element meaning "wild boar". It is now popular in Sweden, but appears to be extremely rare elsewhere.
