User Comments about the name Deja
Comment left Jul 25, 2009: "I named my oldest daughter Deja. I had people pronouce her name wrong when I used to take her to the doctors. They pronouced the "JA" as in a jalapeno. I got told that people will make fun of her name when she gets older but I don't care. I wanted her to have a different name and not a common name like Amy." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 22, 2008: "Deja is my daughters name. She has had many people mispronounce her name. Deehaa, D.J., as if I spelled it with a couple of extra letters. Other than that, when she was a baby we often called her Deja-boo." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 07, 2007: "My name is Deja and I have never met another who spells her name this way. I was born in 1980. I have met Dasia and Daisha's, but no Deja. I often have people place an accent above either the "e" or the "a", or try to pronounce it Day-Jaaah with an exaggerated "a", but it is simply Deja like Deja-vu. I like my name, although I prefer the spelling Dasia :-)" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 03, 2007: "I love this name it because it sounded pretty exotic. I named my daughter deja and she lives up to that name. she has a captivating look to her that matches her name" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 11, 2005: "People sometime pronounce my name wrong but it is prounced "DAY-JAH" like the French saying "Deja Vu'." I really like my name. Its different and I know that when someone calls me they normally arent talking about anyone else because Im the only one with that name. I've always been the only one with that name in school ever since I was little and now Im a junior in college and STILL there is no one with that name. I've heard of people saying that they having family or friends with the name but I like being the only one. Its fun and I feel it gives me individuality and personality." (Report as inappropriate)
