Comment left Mar 14, 2007: "Not to many people have the name Dayana spelled out with a "y." I went thru 22 years until I finally came a across another Dayana in college. It is more popular in South America. Its pronounces as Diana but in spanish it is with a "y" b/c in spanish regular Diana is said differently. The distinction in spelling is major in spanish b/c it makes it a different name vs. in English. Overall, I love my name its unique and I believe fits me well!" (Report as inappropriate)

I know two or three others that go by the same name that were born before the year 2000; actually we were all born in the 80's. People usually don't know how to pronounce the name but I usually just tell them to say Diana to get it over with because it's too much work to get people to say my name right."
