User Comments about the name Davina
Comment left Jun 18, 2008: "I love my name. The other choice my mom had was Dawn Ramona so I'm greatfull!!! Davina is unique & exotic. For some odd reason people feel the need to tell me, "I know so & so & there name is Davina, too". That gets a little old after a while. I am 28 & have met quite a few other Davina's, all ranging in age & race. But the one thing I NEVER get tired of hearing is, "WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME"." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 24, 2007: "I named my daughter Davina meaning "beloved". It seems everyone around pronounces her name with no problem. My daughter is just over 3 years old and I met less than 5 Davina's so far." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 19, 2007: "My close friend's name is Davina. I don't think anyone would have trouble spelling or pronouncing it. It's quite rare though, i've never met anyone else with the name, and i've only seen the name once in a magazine before. It's quite a nice, feminine name. One of my other friends calls her "Na-na". Everyone else sticks to Davina." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 04, 2007: "I named my daughter divina because in spanish it means divine. I thought it was a good idea but now that she's in school people mispronounce her name and even spell it wrong all the time. I should have just named her divine. In school they just call her D.J. anyway. Non the less I love my little Diva." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 30, 2007: "My name is Davina, and I love it! People always spell it incorrectly like Devina or Divina - arghh! Worse still they often read it incorrectly and pronounce it as Davinia.
Its the feminine for David (Gaelic) and in Hebrew terms it means ıbeloved by Godı." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Nov 08, 2006: "i think this name is kinda wierd its different though" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 04, 2006: "people pronounce and spell it wrong ALL the time. correct pronounciation: dah-vin-ah (like davinci but with an "a" at the end instead). I've only met one other person with my name and she pronouced it differently than I do. I often just spell my name out to people (like tellers) instead of saying it because it's easier. This aside though, I love it because it's different, and I like to talk about the heritage of my name. I'd be a completely different person if I were say, a "Julie"." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 12, 2005: "My name is Darina, and this is the closest that i will ever get to my name. I think that there should be a Darina on this site because its such a nice name." (Report as inappropriate)
