Many people have expressed such love for this name with a bright smile. I like that it is simple, yet elegant ~ and ~ people don't forget her name at all. Once they meet a Daisy they don't forget them. I don't understand how people can misspell it as I have read here on the board. Comment left Jul 03, 2008: "Nobody has ever spelt my name wrong "Daisy" but they have given me funny looks and have said "oh my god no WAY is that your real name! it's not is it? it IS! oh my GOD!" as if my name is so bizarre that their brains can't get around it, sometimes it feels like my mum may as well have called me tomato for all the looks i get! I LOVE the name though as it's pretty unique and no one EVER forgets who i am! I'd HATE to be an "emma" or a "kate" or something where you might meet 10 people in a day with the same name. Yuck! Daisy is a cute name and as an adult it suits me too. Mum named me it because she loves the flowers and loved the name growing up and always said she would name her daughter that and here i am!

Comment left May 12, 2008: "Sounds like the name of Hyacinth Bucket's slob-of-a-sister in the 1990s TV sitcom 'Keeping Up Appearances' living in the council house with senile Papa (or Daddy), beer-drinking Onslow with the tattooes and the vest as well as his "Oh, nice" catchphrase, and the short-skirted man-eater Rose. There is also one of the Super Mario Bros. characters called Princess Daisy, which Princess Peach (or Princess Toadstool) was often wrongly addressed as by the creators of the Nintendo games and people playing them. The truth is that Peach and Daisy are two different characters with Peach wearing pink and Daisy wearing yellow (just like the two original female Power Rangers Kimberly and Trini who wore, respectively, pink and yellow). The 1993 film version entitled 'Super Mario Bros' with Bob Hoskins as Mario and Dennis Hopper as the evil Bowser (or King Koopa) starred Samantha Mathis as Princess Daisy wearing pink rather than yellow." Comment left Jan 05, 2008: "The funniest experience I had was when a teacher was convinced "Daisy" was an oriental name (because I'm Asian) and insisted on spelling it "Daexhe" or something crazy.
Daisy is generally an easy name to spell, especially if you're not Asian.
I used to hate my name--my mom named all her children old people names. Today, I love it. I love how it's unique (I have only personally met one other Daisy in my life) and the meaning ("day's eye," or the noon sun"). It gives me something to live up to." (Report as inappropriate)

Growing up, I didn't like my name much. I especially did not like the fact that I couldn't find key chains & other fun stuff with my name on it because it IS uncommon! I also grew tired of people singing the lyrics: "Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do..." Now that I'm older, I'm used to people singing. In fact, it makes me smile when I make people sing!!!
