User Comments about the name Bee
Comment left Jul 20, 2010: "Normally a short form of Beatrice or other girls' names beginning with the letter B- (e.g. Barbara, Bridget) rather than a borrowing of the vocabulary word for the four-winged stinging insect known for producing honey." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 05, 2009: "It's ironic because someone I knew named Bee died by being stung by 100s of bees..." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 10, 2008: "My name is Bee. Well, OK, it's my nickname, but like my mother before me, it is the name I plan on using in life. Checks, credit cards, the works.
The thing I like most about my name is the fact that it is unforgetable. :) And it's easy to spell! "B-E-E. Like the bug. Bee." It's that easy. I have only met one other "Bee" with this spelling. She's an elder lady that works in my local Elder Berman, and she's not exactly cheery...
I do get teased sometimes, and I'm asked if it's my real name. No, it's not. And my real name is not Beatrice, either. If it was, I would spell it B-E-A, not B-E-E.
Overall, I think this name suits me, because I am very indiviualistic, and I love to be myself. :) It also ties me to my late grandmother, with whom I was very close. So it's got a lot of ties to it.
~Bee W., Michigan." (Report as inappropriate)
