She stopped using since she was around 25. Our family's name also starts with 'B' and an employer suggested that her name had too many bouncing bees in it so she started using her middle name, she still does even though her married name starts with an 'E'." I'm brunette and often have a red tinge to it in sunlight, which is what I figured was the similarity between me and the Disney character but he said it was everything about me. My shyness, my long somewhat awkward legs, my doe-brown eyes, my hair and how I'm very much a klutz. Whilst our relationship never lasted, the nickname did and all my friends call me it without thinking. I get a few people turning their heads when a friend shouts out for me, but you get used to it. Sometimes people are like what? I can't call you that. Or they make me repeat it to make sure they caught it right, or I get asked where the heck that comes from. (I live in England. I never met anyone else called Bambi or that has Bambi as a nickname before.)
Sometimes people say thats a stripper name or a porno name. And I do have bleach blonde hair, blue eyes and big boobs but no one ever (admits) to thinking I am a stripper.
Heh, its surprising how many people forget the name and then are like "how did I forget that?" after.
