User Comments about the name Ainsley

  • Comment left Jul 06, 2010: "i know an ainsley, and one time this girl accidentally called her ANGUS. PAAHAHAHHAH xD it was funny" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jun 17, 2010: "My daughter's name is Aisley (without the 'n'), but that name does not exist according to this site. I've only ever encountered one other Aisley and that was a girl who lived in my dorm freshman year of college. I thought it was beautiful then and when I was pregnant and looking for names, I came across Ainsley and remember Aisley. I think it sounds much less awkward without the 'n' stopping the flow of air in the middle of the word and it's more unique!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 30, 2009: "This is my name (spelt Ainslie) and I often get told it's unusual and lovely." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jul 20, 2009: "This is my six year old daughters name, and we have always gotten compliments on it. Yes, we get the occasional person who mispronounces it (one little girl in Kindergarten called her "Angelee" but it was cute)" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 23, 2008: "I came across the name ainsley while I was going trough a baby name book. I love the name I am 5 1/2 mos. Pregnant with a girl and ainsley is most likely going to be her name" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 22, 2008: "My 11 1/2 year old daughter is named Ainsley. I've always loved her name and we've only met a few others with that name in the entire 11 1/2 years. She does say that some adults mispronounce it, or will call her Ashley, but for the slight inconvenience of correcting the odd person who just can't seem to read...it's worth it that she has a "unique" name, but not one that's too strange." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 01, 2007: "Our 5 yr old daughter is named Ainsley, it suits her perfectly. Gentle and melodic with great strength behind it." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Dec 28, 2006: "I am currently 31 weeks pregnant with our second daughter and we are planning on naming her Ainsley. Both my husband and I are of Scottish descent and we wanted a name that was beautiful, unique and paid homage to the heritage that we love so much! I can't wait to meet her!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Dec 14, 2006: "This is my youngest daughter's name and my older daughter, Gabby, has a hard time pronouncing it (Annsley). I love the name and have yet to meet or know of another Ainsley. The only down side of the name is that it doesn't have a really good shortened name, except Ann, which is very plain." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Nov 15, 2006: "My husband and I are considering naming our daughter this when she's born in April. I like that it's unique without being bizarre. So far, when I've mentioned the name to others, I've gotten a good response." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jun 12, 2006: "I think this is a beautiful name. I am currently pregnant, and if this baby is a girl then Ainsley may be her name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 03, 2006: "Our daughter is names Ainsley, so far we haven't come acrodd anyone else who has this name :) We absolutely love it... Obviously" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Mar 09, 2006: "This is my name and I think its really good. It suits me quite well as its a strong name, not a fluffy name such as Sophie or Emily (even though they are good names). I am a girl, and people often dont read my name properly and call me Ashley or Alisha. Its pronounced Ainz-lee." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jan 18, 2006: "I read this name as a Scottish last name in a short story. I think it makes a beautiful first name for a girl yet retains a lot of strength so it could work for a boy as well." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 18, 2005: "This is my 5-year-old daughter's name. We are of Scottish ancestry so I wanted a Scottish name. My husband chose it out of a book of Celtic names. The spelling and meaning of the name are beautiful. I know of one other Ainsley. I've heard of one other Ainsley in our town." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 16, 2005: "This is our daughter's name. We have loved the uniqueness, yet simplicity of the name. Our daughter is now 2 1/2 years old and while we have heard of others with this name, we have yet to meet anyone personally. We love it." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jul 29, 2005: "My daughter's name is Ainsley. Sometimes it is mispronouced as Annsley. Most people say they like it. Three days before she was born in August of 2003 a baby girl was named Ainsley in the same hospital outside of Philadelphia PA. I have since met 4 other people who know an Ainsley" (Report as inappropriate)
