Comment left Jan 06, 2012: "1985 Todd here... i get called scott all the time." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jul 06, 2011: "I too get Scott all the time - face to face, over the phone etc etc (From Australia)" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 15, 2011: "I named my second son Todd after The musician Todd Rundgren, and an Artist that lived in our town.I love the name.My son plays keyboard, and bass, and recently told me he hates his name !" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Dec 07, 2010: "I'm a 1950 Todd and have a 1952 brother Scott, I know of at least two other Todd/Scott brother combinations." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Dec 02, 2010: "Im a Todd also. I get Scott too, I also sometimes get Tom. I have had teachers ask me if Todd is short for something. Im glad that its not a name you really hear everyday." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 08, 2010: "This is such a lark that I came across this and discovered vindication for the Scott thing. Years of people calling me Scott just after being introduced to them. I was about to get religious and peer into past lives to try and explain this. It must be the abrupt consonance sound?" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 07, 2010: "I too am a Todd who is frequently called Scott. I am glad to hear that it isn't just me, not sure what that phonemenon's about though. My good friend is named Scott so at times I thought it was because we are usually hanging out together but it has happened others times as well. We should start a support group... At any rate I like our name, it's a strong one and not too common." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 17, 2010: "Hello fellow Toddster's. I haven't really had the Scott thing placed on me except for a few times when in my teens when meeting adults. I think although I was as clever and witty as a fox I hadn't matured into myself fully and didn't make an impact re first impressions which were set in their ways. But now in full adult Toddhood, my/our name sticks extremely well with whoever I meet in both the short and longterm. Be true to and embrace your inner Todd." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 06, 2010: "I love the name Todd. My grandma post's maiden name was Todd and I plan on naming one of my baby girls Kathleen (something) Todd in remembrance." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 03, 2010: "I am a Todd. For some reason, it is not very popular at the moment. However, that is a good thing. It's good to have a unique name that is not WAY out there. I can't believe that nobody has anything to say here but the freaky Todd/Scott naming thing. If you are not name Todd, you don't understand just how true this is. However, if you are thinking of naming your child Todd, it's really not a big deal. It just seems to come out of peoples mouths sometimes when they are thinking and talking too quickly." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jul 23, 2010: "Boy here I thought I might have been a Scott in a past life ;-) Once again there's no better truth than the empirical kind" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jul 23, 2010: "All my life i have been mistakenly called Scott from relatives, bosses and teachers. I love it when someone says when i've corrected them - oh, you look like a Scott. Oh really! I have even had to resort to a Hello My Name Is Tag when i was dating my wife cause her family couldn't get my name straight. I realized how common it was when I was at an event and there were 3 Todd's at the same table and I asked them if they've ever been called Scott. We all shared the same stories. I think the brain does tricks with the "ah" sound and the double t and double d. Todd (aka Scott) from CT" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 26, 2010: "I get the Scott thing too. I narrowed it down to the similar "ah" sound that ends with a similar "d" and "t" sounds. People go to Scott if they don't hear Todd clearly and their brains just go to the more common "Scott." I love my name. HATE it when someone spells it with one "D." Feels naked." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 13, 2010: "My name is Todd and I must be completely honest, I hate it. Its not because people really make fun of it or anything, I just think its kinda a lame sounding name. It doesn't make me feel very confident to introduce myself, and I think that is very important in a name. Truthfully, I am angered that my parents named me Todd Look up the George Carlin comedy skit on "people named Todd" and that is kind of how I feel. The only problem is that I'm already 16 and in high school and everyone knows me by Todd. I wish I had created an alias earlier." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Feb 20, 2010: "Yes, my name is Todd and I have been called Scott more than any other. Actually, my own mother called me Scott one time." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Feb 10, 2010: "Too funny. Here I was researching my name and I come to find out that lots of Todds are being called Scott. Same thing happens to me, and has been for years!!" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jan 16, 2010: "Yah, I get the Scott thing too. It is hilarious that there is a Todd out there constantly being called Pat. Can't say that's ever happened to me. Might be time for a voice and diction class. Anyway, I'm one of those Todds from the height of Todd popularity in the 60s. I have always thought it was a boring, and kind of weird name. But at least my dad didn't get his way. I would have been Tad. Dodged that bullet." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Dec 25, 2009: "my name is Todd guess what i dont care that its unpopular I really could care less" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Dec 07, 2009: "I hated the name Todd until I met my husband. He's a cop so I call him by his last name. I have never heard some one calling Scott for Todd. If I had of known that I may have considered nameing my son's middle name Scott." (Report as inappropriate)
