Strangers, friends and family have all done it. I thought that I must mumble but I noticed people that read my name with out hearing me say it did it as well. I started asking other Todd's if this happened to them. 13 out of 15 said it happened to them too. I felt better knowing it wasnt a result of my mumbling. Although I have known its meaning for some time, I didn't know anything about the variation, Tod. People have recently asked me why there are two D's in the name. I didn't know. It's common enough that it is usually spelled correctly but unique enough to not have to get confused with someone else. For some reason, people occasionally call me Scott or Troy.
