I liked it and thought it would be easier to pronounce if I changed it to "Tavian." It's pronounced Tay-vi-en. When I put him into daycare all the Moms kept complimenting me on the uniqueness of his name. 2 years later there were 3 newborns that were named Tavian in that school. It took forever to find a suitable name as my husband's family already had 7 boys who had used many of the names we thought of using. We also wanted something very different, but not too odd and something definately masculine sounding. We found the name in a baby book that we'd already gone over 1001 times. I see many variations of the name like Tavin, Montavious, Quintavious, and even Tavia for a girl, but have yet to see "Tavian." The only down side is people tend to hear it wrong and think his name is Damian at first. We almost always have to repeat his name more than once.
