Comment left Jan 18, 2007: "My name's Sol. Everyone pronounces it 'soul' or tries to spell it s-a-u-l. About half the people I meet ask if it's from the Bible. The other half ask if it means like the Sun. The other thing is that a lot of Jewish people treat me as if I'm one of their 'tribe', which I happen not to be. Kind of fun to be accepted based on a name, but awkward sometimes too. I think it's odd anyway, since I never meet any real Jews named Sol who aren't 90 years old --which matches the graph above!"
