Also, it tends to get confused with other three letter names including Max and Ben. Upside, people never seem to have bad experiences with people named Sam and it's hard to think of a bad person named Sam. Also, you have Samuel as a "Formal" name and mostly, Sams don't like to be called Sammy. Lastly, you will have to live with the "Sam I Am" thing, but really, it's not so bad!"
