User Comments about the name Quinn

Comment left Sep 15, 2008: "My name is Quinn and im a girl. Im 11 years old and I think it's a better girls name. Not just because of the TV show called Zoey101(i watch it all the time) but i just think it's a very femmine to me.Im not saying that its not a bad boys name, I just think its a girlier feel to it." Comment left Jul 28, 2008: "We named our Gordon Setter puppy Quinn. We wanted a Gaelic name and it fits his strong personality. It is also short and good for training purposes. If I were to have another son I would have named him that. I also like it as a girls name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jul 09, 2008: "MY NAME real name is Le'Quinn but my family and loved ones call me QUINN for short i love it because im usually the only one at my school who has that name. it matches my personality which is unique. im the one and ONLY Quinn at my school and im porud of it. but in my high school days, i got teased because my peers thought my name was girly. but as i got older and in college, the girls say how sensitive my name sounds. i was born aug 17th 1990. i love my name so much" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left May 22, 2008: "Our son is nicknamed Quinn because he is a "fifth" (just as a son who is a third could be nicknamed Trey). My husband and I have some Irish background so that makes it appropriate as well. Besides, it's cool and classy without being too cutesy or trendy. It suits him and we love it!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 22, 2008: "my dads name is quin and so is my little brothers name" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 19, 2008: "My son Jessiah's middle name is Quinn. We both love it." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Apr 24, 2008: "i only know one quinn...she is a beautiful little girl, so my "take" on the name is that it's feminine. it does't have a masculine sound to my ear. it sounds very soft. reminds me of lynn, brynn, cyn[thia], wynn, not to mention the innumerable girls names that end in -lyn." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 11, 2008: "My son Quinn was born on Jan 21, 2007. My wife and I both come from an Irish background, so we wanted a good strong Irish name, and Quinn was perfect, we both love the name. Quinn's older sister didn't like the name at first, saying it was weird and a girls name (Thank you, Zoey 101!), but even she loves it now." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 11, 2008: "Quinn is unique enough not to be heard everyday, with a strong, masculine yet sensitive feel to it." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Nov 14, 2007: "My son will be two in January and he is named Quinn Elliott. We never heard the name before naming him this, but I have heard it since several times. I feel it is a great strong name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 11, 2007: "We just named our son Quinn and love the name; however, several nurses and doctors mentioned that it seems to be the most popular "new" name. It sounds like this may be the case." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 08, 2007: "My son is named Quinn...my wife and I both love it..." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Oct 01, 2007: "Thinking about naming our third son Quinn. I like the sound of it and also the meaning- It is unique enough without being too odd. Not too many Q names out there for boys!" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Aug 13, 2007: "I prefer Quinn as a girl's name. However, I do like the name. Short, easy to say, easy to spell, and not TOO popular." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jul 26, 2007: "Quinn is my daughter's name. She's 4. It's a perfect name for her. She's very proud of her name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Mar 01, 2007: "I love this name ! It is my husbands name and he didnt like it so much growing up but he loves it now and gets compliments on it all the time." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Feb 23, 2007: "My name is Quinn. I am 25 and over the years have received many compliments about my name. I has also allowed me to feel very individualistic having a name, that when I was growing up was very rarely heard; though I believe it to be considerably more common today. Moreover, I find that people from foreign countries, people understanding little english and/or people with heavy acsents have great difficulty pronouncing my name. It is often confussed with "Queen", which I have come to terms with and now jokingly go along with it on occasion. All and all I love my name. Don't really want other people having it, but then again, what is a name really? Is it that important? I don't know? Do you?" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 22, 2007: "We named our son Quinn, he was born on Jan 21, 2007. I've heard the "girls name" thing too, but I think it's due to that kids show on TV, that has a girl named Quinn in it." (Report as inappropriate)
