Comment left May 11, 2010: "We named our son Maxfield, Max for short. Maxfield Parrish was a favorite artist of mine and Max is just a great boy's name." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Aug 30, 2009: "My 15 month old son's name is Max but his full name is Maxamus James. It was my husband's idea, the Maxamus part, because he's always loved that movie with the Gladiator, and I went along with it because I really liked the name Max, and knew that's what we would mostly call him anyway. I did change the spelling though from Maximus to Maxamus just to make it a little bit different. So far, it's been great, I don't know any other kids or people named Max, and neither does anyone in our family, so it was a great way to have a more original sort of name and not be too weird or off the wall. I love my Max! :-)" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 14, 2009: "Our 5 year old son is called Max, he really suits it, i think its the greatest boys name around, oh it also means the greatest, LOL!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Aug 28, 2008: "My son named our second son Max 15 years ago, I wasn't sure about it at first - thought it sounded like an old man. Of course, I didn't realize how cute it could be. It is perfect for him! He's a real character, so funny and very, very strong willed. I never would have picked it myself, but I'm so glad he did!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jul 11, 2008: "yeah my name is Max and the thing about it is that it sounds so much bigger then just three letters. such a strong and dominate name in our American culture, and i am always the only Max people know but the funny thing is one of my best friends is also named Max haha" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 16, 2008: "I just found out today that I'm having a boy, and we're naming him Max!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 14, 2008: "I really love it. I named my 7mth. old baby boy Max, just Max. I have had people think that his name is Mack a couple of times and if they dont quite get it, my 6 year old kindly chimes in M-A-X! I chose the name because I had always loved it in the book, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and then during my pregancy I met a little boy, Max, in my sons kindergarten class and I thought it would be a cute, but strong name. Now that he is here I love it still, and think that it is the best!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 27, 2008: "I almost named my baby boy Max, but it didn't go with the family mn we had picked out. I love the name! I plan on naming my next child Max if it's a boy. Although I'm kinda peeved that it is now a trend with celebrities. that means it will be way more popular over the next few years." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 25, 2008: "If we have a boy, we'll most likely pick Max. Great strong name!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 10, 2008: "I am naming my boy Maximiliano. Max or Maxim could be his nickname. It is masculine and works for both, baby boy and an adult man. I love it." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 02, 2008: "Max is a nice counter against all these attempts to be special and/or exotic. And the best is, you cannot abbreviate it." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 28, 2008: "My grandson's name is Max, but everyone thinks it has to be a nickname for Maximillian or Maxwell." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 05, 2008: "No responsible parent names a boy "max".
Save it for a dog or rat." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 08, 2008: "I love the name Max. This is my son's name. People often think his name is Matt instead of Max when you say it. I know of 2 other boys named Max. It is a great strong boy name, but short & sweet." (Report as inappropriate)
