Comment left Sep 09, 2008: "My name is Kyle and yes I am a girl. I have had that name longer than anyone who has posted here. I used to hate it but not I would never change it. People always call me Carol. When my parents named me no one had that name neither boys or girls. Everyone is correct in saying it is very unique but it isn't just a boys name either." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 27, 2008: "I like being a Kyle because of its uniqueness. There are tons of Michaels, Chris', and Johns while there's only a handful of us. It's weird that I can usually pick out other Kyles in a crowd." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jul 08, 2007: "My name is Kyle, although I'm a girl. I've accepeted my name a long time ago, but it wasn't always that way. I remember being three and throwing an absolute tantrum about the name that was picked for me, hating the fact that it was typically (and still is typically) labelled a boy's name, particularly with the younger set. Pre-school and kindergarten invited lot's of teasing, and I still hear shocked whispers when I'm working with younger kids at school. However, now, for the most part, people applaud my name for it's uniqueness. Unique for the gender it's applied to, I know tons and tons of kyle's, it's just that I'm the only girl. Now I think I've grown into my name, it' effects you and becomes who you are, so I forgot about my secret ambition of changing it a long time ago, something I would never dream of now. However, to any creative parents out there, I would like to mention that any unusual name will spark unprecedented amounts of interest among your child's peers, espcecially while they're growing up. It can be tough, and you just want to keep in mind that this is their name, not yours, and while it's good to be original and creative, you don't want to get carried away or overdue it. Sometimes I wondered what I could have been named, but now I am at least grateful for the fact that I am not just another jessica among many, or lauren, ect. I like my name now, and it's not going anywhere." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jun 30, 2007: "My brother's name is Kyle. And I know a couple of other Kyles." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jun 16, 2007: "My experience with the name kyle is that it translates to POOP HEAD" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jan 30, 2007: "Being one of the older "Kyle"'s around, I've had to get used to hearing my name all the time when parents are calling their children. At one point I started to hate my name because of this, but I've accepted that it is simply a popular name for whatever reason. I've chosen the name "Ezra" for my first born son, and I hope there is no sudden resurgence in popularity for his name so he can have a good strong name that is still somewhat unique." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jan 24, 2007: "My best friend's name is Kyle, and it's always been a favorite name of mine. It's short and easy to remember, and it has the benefit of being age-universal: it's easy to picture a cute little kid named Kyle, a smart, popular teenager named Kyle, and a strong, confident adult named Kyle." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jan 16, 2007: "i think that the name kyle is a honor that people who have that name should be very thankful and happy alot of people would love to live that name out as much as they can people think that name is dum should never had that name in the first place never should ever again thank you." (Report as inappropriate)
