Comment left Jul 14, 2009: "Kay is actually my middle name and that's how you spell it if i would ever have kids i would love having "kay" in the name! Like Mikayla" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Nov 04, 2008: "My name is Kay - no E on the end! I always get - Kate, Kayleigh, Kacie & Fay, and have to over pronouce my name in "Queens English" as my accent is quite broad. Do any other Kay's get tired of thinking someone has asked them something when you here "Hey" or "ok"? It's most annoying when you find yourself looking up and down a street in your local area when you here an "Ay" sound to see if somebody is calling your name!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 17, 2008: "'Kay' as a name is great and sounds unique.I am a boy and my name is Kay,people often get confused as to how it is spelled when i tell them about my name..But i have no problem with that,as it gets ME noticed :-)" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 25, 2008: "My middle name is Kaye. It's also my grandma's middle name, and I fully intend to give my future daughter the middle name also. (Notice that in the movie "Sword in the Stone" the idiot step-brother "Sir" Kay is a guy...its techniqually a guy name...who cares though?) I think the name Kaye is more popular for girls now days." Comment left May 02, 2008: "A lot of people spell it like Kaye, and they think your name is Kate or something else." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 05, 2008: "I was named Kay after my Auntie. We are originally from Scotland-when I came to the US I found that most people either insist on calling me Katie or Kate , or they insist my name has to be "short" for something. It is also funny that most seem to think it should or needs and 'e' on the end of it. I will say though, there are others of us out there under 60 who are simply "Kay". In fact as fates would have it the lady who stitched my name onto some mickey mouse ears for me was also named Kay without an "e". :)" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jan 01, 2008: "Young people do not hear Kay when I tell them my name -they assume it is Kate. It is now something of a foreign name I think - and I wonder if it was ever used as a girl's name before the 20's. An odd little fad there for a few decades but it does really date me." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Dec 28, 2007: "I named my daughter Kay, after the letter, because so many people in both my family and my husband's family have names that start with the letter K. When I was still pregnant and told people what I wanted to name my child I got a lot of comments on the shortness of the name, the lack of creativity, the spelling (no E on the end), and lots of "better" name suggestions. No one liked it at all! Now my daughter is 3 and everyone loves her name. Kind of funny how that worked out! There are a lot of other girls with names that contain "Kay" such as Makayla, Kayla, and Kaylee but my Kay is the only one under age 60 that is just Kay!" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jun 11, 2006: "My Grandfathers name is Kay. He is a great man and i hope to emulate him in many ways, i will most likely name my boy Kay." (Report as inappropriate)
