Comment left Apr 23, 2006: "This is my husband's name...Kade. I love it. He's not so hot about it only because people have called him "Katie" but w/ a "d" instead of a "t." People spell it w/ a "C" all the time, that's also annoying because we like the "k" version of the name. So this name has it's up's and down's. I love it because it is differnt, but not wildly different, but where it is not so popular people can really have a hard time with this name. Sometimes, I think it's out of ignorance though, people don't take the time to read and think through a name before speaking it." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 15, 2006: "We named our son Kade because in one of the baby names we were looking through it said the name meant "from the wetlands" and we live in the coastal rainforest of the Queen Charlotte Islands on the west coast of British Columbia and it rains a lot here. He is ten now. We haven't met another Kade yet although there is younger boy named Kaden in our community." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 19, 2006: "It's not even really a name. A name is supposed to have some meaning or something. We might as well call our son or daughter's name kohosephat." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 25, 2006: "This is my son's name. It is pronounced kayd. Sometimes people misunderstand and think it is kate or ka-dee.
He is very sweet, curious, clever, and fun loving." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 23, 2005: "My son Kade was born in Ballarat Australia in 1997. He has a friend at school named Caed. He likes his name but would of preffered it spelt Cade because he thinks it is too similar to Kate." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jul 15, 2005: "My 2 yr old son is named Kade. We had never heard of anyone else named that here in Utah until we started telling people we'd chose that name. We found out that Caden/Kaden is a similar name that is rising in popularity here. Since then I've met a woman whose husband is named Cade. My mom, a retired nurse who volunteers at a children's hospital said she has seen a lot more boys named Kade or Caden (will spelling variations) over the past couple of years. It is still not an overly popular or overused name though, it's just familiar enough that people don't wonder how to pronounce it. We are glad we named our son Kade, it fits him well. It is strong and masculine sounding and a bit off the beaten path." (Report as inappropriate)
