User Comments about the name Jayce
Comment left Nov 19, 2009: "My boyfriend Jayce was born in the mid-70s. He thinks his mom heard a similiar name on a soap opera. His name in mispronounced a lot; he even gets a lot of calls for "Joyce". It was so bad in school he went by his middle name." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 08, 2009: "I actually named my son Jayce (Born in May '09) because I saw the name in a Lifetime movie a few years back and it just stuck with me. I do get a lot of people who think I said Chase when speaking of him or they pronounce it Jay-Cee, so annoying. I have never heard of it as a female name untill now though. Either way it's a great name!!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Aug 16, 2009: "A friend of mine gave birth to a baby girl this last May and named her Jayce Rose Moon. (Pronounced Jay-See). The family is Oglala Sioux and Jayce in Lakhota mean 'moon' and the Rose Moon was from the coloration of the moon during an eclipse. The mother's middle name is Desert Moon, so the name seemed to fit very well." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Aug 07, 2009: "My name is Jayce and was born in the eighties. My parents named me Jayce because my dad's name is jan and my mom's is Joyce. take the first two of my dad's smoosh them together and you have me" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jul 21, 2009: "My son "Jayce Alexander Muller," was born on Thursday, November 15, 2007. I have received numerous positive comments about my son's name. Most people love his name although again they do pronounce it Jaycee or J+C or Jason...UGGGHHH! The first time I heard the name was as someone mentioned earlier on a TV show back in 1985 "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors." But before I gave my son the name I looked up the meaning which is "HEALER," in Greek which was appropriate for him as he was born extremely premature. He has certainly come a long way." Comment left May 16, 2009: "We named our last child (son) Jayce Michael in 2008. I liked Jason but it is way too common so I found this name. Alot of people think you are saying Chase or when they see it spelled think it's Jaycee. I hate that! I did see a 1st birthday announcement of a girl named Jayce the other day." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 14, 2009: "We named our son Jayce after my older brother Jay and Jayce's daddy Jason. There are no other Jayce names spelled this way in our hometown!!! I LOVE his name. We were first told we might be having twins and they would of been Jayce and Jaycee. Jay as we call him for short is a great kid with a great name!!!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 13, 2009: "We named our son Jayce. I loved the name and thought that it was unique without being weird!!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 17, 2009: "We named our son Jayse MaKenzie..just thought it was an awesome name that no one in our area had. Second son named Rhyse Kelten. People are always mispronouncing Jayse as Jayseeeee..drives me bonkers.." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 15, 2009: "My Son Jayce Michael Barry was born April 26, 2001. He was named after his Uncle Jason whom we called "Jay". He died the night Jayce was conceived. We wanted to name our son after Jay but didn't want to name him Jason or Jay. One day on tv there was this little boy with no arms or legs and his name was Jace. We loved the name but changed the spelling to include "Jay" in it. Our son is not only named for his uncle but also for Jay's girlfriend (and Jayce's godmother) Michelle and my step father Barry." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 13, 2009: "My daughters name is Jayce and we love it! I have come across a couple of other little girls with the same name although spelled differently. I had never herd of Jayce being a boys name until tonight but I can understand Jayce going either way as my daughter is now in school and her friends call her Jay for short!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 09, 2009: "My son, Jayce Patrick was born in 1978. I first heard that name on an old cowboy movie." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 17, 2009: "My first son is named Jayce William. He was born March 1991. At that time no one had heard of the name and his father had told me he made it up! Later I found out that there was a tv show in the 1980's "Jayce and the Warriors .. likely he heard it from there.
Alot of people pronounce it Jay-cee though which is annoying." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 20, 2009: "My son is called Jayce Barker born 6 October 1980. I think I started the trend! There weren't too many boys (or girls for that matter) called Jayce back then - but it's become more popular now in Australia. I love the name and so does he." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 25, 2009: "We name our son Jayce Evan in March of 2003 he loves his named as well as corrects many people about his name, not many people had the name we wanted to be different." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 05, 2008: "my name is jayce hunter hawkins and i was born in 88. someone told me today that its a famous person name. im. proud of an original strong name but iv probably speant 3 years of my life explaining the spelling or that its not chace. which can be a bummer. good conversation starter at the pub though. ya!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 03, 2008: "I also have a son named Jayce, Jayce Bradley. He was born on 10-2-08. People always think I say Chase. & I have also gotten Jay-cee, which is super annoying. :( I'm glad I went w/this spelling, rather than the J-a-c-e spelling. His dad's middle name is Jay, so we went w/the other way." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 30, 2008: "My son was born on Dec 16 2005 and i named him Jayce. I didn't know of many Jayces at the time but all of a sudden quite a few baby boys have been born and named Jayce recently!" (Report as inappropriate)
