She said she never heard it before and wanted to give her child something to be proud of. i was born 18 years ago with the name Jace. although i have grown acustumed to being called Jay-ce Jason and many other versions of the name i enjoy it very much." Comment left Jul 10, 2008: "When I was 20 weeks pregnant and found out I was having a boy I knew I wanted a unique name. I opened a baby book to J names because I like J names. The second one down was Jace. I fell in love. It took some convincing to his father and when I would tell random people they didn't seem to like it. This made me like it more. I think it's the best boys name on the planet. My son is Jace Christopher" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 24, 2008: "I name my son Jace because its the combination
of me and my husband's name. My name is Grace and
my husband's name is Jame s. We didn't want a Jr.
so the name Jace was perfect. I didn't think
anyone has this name, but looking at the web
this name has gain popularity. My son gets mad
when someone pronounce his name wrong, son he
would always spell his name to people. I am
glad we named our son Jace . I think its unique
and special." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 30, 2008: "I'm sure back in 1895, some people thought "you know what? Elmer is a really cool name. It's so unique!" I think "Jace" is the 2000's equivalent of "Elmer." It's a trendy name that 40 years from now is going to look as dated as leisure suits. Not that "Jace" is unique in this fashion; there are tons of trendy names that will look dated, but "Jace" is a particularly egregious example." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jan 07, 2008: "My 8 month old is named Jace and generally once I spell it people really like it and think it's cool. But almost always most people think I am saying "chase" or that it's short for Jason. I however, love it!!!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 01, 2007: "Here I was, thinking I 'created' an original name last year when I found out I was pregnant! LOL at myself for that! JACE was going to be my baby's name if I had a boy. (My sis was pregnant too and knew she was having a boy.She chose Jack.)Because I live in a different province,in Canada, I thought it would be sweet if the cousins had similar sounding names.I ended up having a girl though! So I named her Jaida!!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 08, 2007: "We have a Jace in the family but people always want to pronounce it as Jay-cee like it's a long "e". I was surprised to see on the graph above how many children are named Jace." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 10, 2007: "My 3 year old daughter in named Jace. She is often called Jaycee, or Jason. I went to high school with a guy by the name and always loved it. Since I had my daughter i have ran into three other younge boys with the same name but all were spelled Jase." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 22, 2007: "How do you pronounce it? Is it Jah-SEE, or does it rhyme with Race, or is it like J.C.? We're considering adopting a boy named Jace and haven't heard yet how it's pronounced (we were just given an adoption referral today).... I did know a Brazilian guy named Jacy, it was Jah-SEE. Thanks!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Nov 06, 2006: "This is my son's name, we heard another little boy named that and liked it. I have gotten comments that it's really masculine all the way to cute. People seem to like it. I think it has sort of a cowboy western origin." (Report as inappropriate)
