Comment left Mar 18, 2008: "This is my name and i love it. I think its great and unique. It's not as common as some names but it's not completely unusual. I do kind of get mad when people call me hay-lee when my name is hal-lee but everyone makes mistakes. I would recommend this name to anyone." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jul 22, 2006: "My name is Hally, prounounced just like "Hallie" or "Sally." I get a lot of mispronuciations, including Holly (understandable - especially when handwritten, the a can look like an o) or, the one that really irritates me, "Haley." (Hay-lee) I think the thing that is the most upsetting is when people (usually males, interestingly), mispronounce my name, I'll let them know how it's correctly pronounced, and then they say, "Close enough" or something like that. No......"Haley" and "Holly" are some other girls, they're not me. I'm Hally. I'll even ask then how they would like it if I called them by the wrong name, say "Jane" instead of "James" or "Mark" instead of "Mike." Somehow, they usually just don't get it. It's like, if it's a unique name it's somehow OK not to learn to pronounce it right. I think the stupidest thing anyone ever said to me about my name is they said, "Your name is HALLY? Wow! Are you related to Halle Berry?"" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 06, 2006: "My name is Hallie, and is pronounced "Hal-lee" however I am often called Haylee. I receive many compliments on my name though, so it all comes out even. I have only met two Hallies in my life and neither have spelled their names the same as I do. All in all I'm glad this is my name." (Report as inappropriate)
