User Comments about the name Gage

Comment left Nov 05, 2009: "My son is Gage Mohammed born 2002 and I too got his name from the Steven King movie. I love my Gage!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Nov 04, 2009: "We are expecting our third child in February 2010 a boy and we will be naming him "Gage Chandler." I admit I saw the movie "Pet Sematary" years ago when I was a kid and always loved the name. I am also a horror movie fan, but I thought the name was unusual and cute." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 26, 2009: "My son's name is Gage Edward Andrew. He was born in July 2000. I too held on to the name after watching the movie Pet Semetary. Such a cute little boy in the movie. We live in a small town and someone copied the name a few years ago and now there are 2 Gage's in our school. Very frustrating when you are trying so hard to be original without being too crazy. My other son is Tate Edward Neal." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 24, 2009: "My sons name is Gage Ryan he was born 3 18 95. I also see there is another Gage Ryan on this post. I have a daughter named amber and another one named ashley and I let them name him and yeah its from the stephen king movie. Lol" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 23, 2009: "Our little guy, Gage Nicholas arrived 4-09...he is 4th in line, with 2 older sisters & 1 older brother. We needed a short name that was masculine & not too trendy. This name fit the bill, and now that he is here, we have grown to absolutely love the name. I am a King fan as well, but hesitated to name my son after such a morbid character. The name transcends the movie. LOVE IT & my little boy." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 11, 2009: "I have always loved the name since the first time I have heard it and yes it was Pet Sematary...I always said that if I have a son I would name him Gage Michael...but instead I have been blessed with 2 beautiful girls ...Michaela Leianne and Taylor Madison" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 06, 2009: "My son is due in February. His name will be Damien Gage" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 09, 2009: "gage is the most bad ass name i've ever heard, mostly cause of the kid in pet sematary. my first born son will be named gage <3" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jul 16, 2009: "I love the name Gage, I have always loved the name since i seen pet cemetary. it kinda bugs me that the little boy died, but gage is a beautiful name. We are considering naming our son Gage Charles (charles after my grandfather) I also really like the name Sebastian and Memphis but my fiancee will only go for Gage" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jun 30, 2009: "My sons middle name is Gage, born jan.2005, which while i was pregnant was the only name my husband and i were set on! i would talk to my belly refering to my son as Gage. Couple months before he was born we chose on a first name "Jayden Gage". We now call him by his first name, while sometimes i play around with him-hes only 4, and ill call him Gage around the house-i miss calling him Gage- and he plays back with me! My husband chose both names on his own while going through a baby name book with me.... ive notice other posts on here about pet cemetery, and no thats not where we got the name from.. i didnt even realize that until after he was born, about 1yr old and someone asked me that" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jun 06, 2009: "My name's Gage Middaugh(mid-ah. Lots of people I'm realy not even friends with know my name. My parents actually got my name off of the 1989 movie 'Pet Cematary'. Kind of freaky, being named after a little dead boy who kills people." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jun 05, 2009: "My son Gage Harrison was born Nov 27, 2008 and I have had the name Gage picked out since I was a young girl. Stephen King's "Pet Sematary" was the first King book I read and it was here that I fell in love with the name Gage. My husband found it a bit odd at first but loves the name now. We get compliments about the name almost daily. We find it to be a strong, masculine name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 24, 2009: "My son's name is Gage Andrew. He was born in 1994. I got his name from Pet Sematary. He has one other child at his school with the name but spelled Gaige. He used to hate his name because it was different and you couldn't find it on anything. We are both big thriller movie buffs and when he was old enough I let him watch the movie. Once he found out how he got his name he thought it as cool. Now he wouldn't change it for the world. I still get compliments on his name and how unique it is." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 15, 2009: "My son's name is Gage Matthew and how ironic is it that a couple of posters here use the same name combination! He was born May 2002 and I chose it because it sounded like a strong and unusual name. I also seen that it meant pledge or oath which is something that is perfect when your thinking of your child! I do still always here the "Pet Cemetary" thing but that's not where I got it even though I do like horrors." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 11, 2009: "my name is gage, i had never met anyone with the same year until a guy started at my school with the same name 2 years below me." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Mar 30, 2009: "My son, born Sept 2004, is named Gage Matthew and I love that name!! We got it out of the name book, and fell in love with it! It's very original, even though there are more kids with that name now. It is a very masculine name I might add." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Mar 24, 2009: "My first name is Gage. Im glad i have this name just of the rarity of the name and unique nature. one popular reference is kings movie i believe the other is a biblical name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 13, 2009: "My son is named Gage Layton, born 8/2002. I love the name, loved the book, and it's so fitting." (Report as inappropriate)
