Comment left Apr 27, 2009: "My oldest son is Ayden Nathaniel, and he is 6.
I was going to name him Aidyn had he been a girl. I picked Nathaniel as a middle name just before he was born. I had never heard it before 2003. I was kind of shocked to find the name and the derivatives (Hayden, Jayden, ect) all over the place. But it is a beautiful name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 21, 2009: "My name is Reyna. My mother chose to put a Y instead of an I. I loved the name Aiden, but i wanted some kind of meaning. So i decided to name him Ayden like his mommy Reyna. I really did not know that anyone else had this spelling. this is all a surprise to me." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 09, 2009: "My son's name is Ayden Michael, and we are an Irish/Scottish family, it doesn't ruin the name by the spelling. My son is the only one in this area with his spelling. Makes me laugh when people spell it wrong." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 20, 2009: "My son is 5 and his name is Ayden. In his preschool class there was 3 Aidan's and he was the only Ayden. I thought I should change it, but he loves his name the way it is." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 13, 2009: "I named my 18 month old AYDEN and it's my favorite name. I changed the spelling because I didn't want to use the popular spelling. But now that I know it was the number 1 name for little boys in 2008, I'm a little upset:( BUT OHWELL. AYDEN fits my child and I love it." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 09, 2009: "Re comment made on Jan 10, everyone is entitled to change the spelling of names and name their child as they choose. It does not mean that anyone has ruined the irish name! Don't be so harsh and judge people in that manner. My son is named Ayden and I love the name, he's proud as punch that he's the only Ayden in his class where there are many "Davids" "Adams" etc, children with more common names. It makes him feel special." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 04, 2009: "My 2 year old son's name is Ayden Angelo. I have always loved the name but wanted to spell it different. Now it seems like everyone has the same name and spelling! But I still love the name!!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Nov 01, 2008: "When I pregnant 3 years ago I wanted a name that wasn't popular, because when I was in school I hated that there was always like three Amanda's in my class.so that why I chose to name my son Ayden Dale, My husband wanted to name him Hayden, But we made a deal if I could name him Ayden then he could choose our little girls name if we have one later down the road. Luckfully I havent met another Ayden atleast not with his spelling. I know it has become popular, but I hope he doesnt have a bunch of Ayden's in his class later on." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 22, 2008: "My daughter was born in 1995 and I wanted a unique name for her. We loved the name but wanted also a different spelling so we chose Ayden figuring the 'y' would give it a more feminine feel. I love this name for a girl" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 22, 2008: "Today was the first time I've googled the name Ayden. Ten or so years ago while engaged to my now wife, she said she'd like to name a boy Aiden as she has liked that name. Well, married and four years later we found out we were having a girl. So, I suggested we change the spelling to
A-Y-D-E-N to make it more feminine. We'd never seen it spelled that way, and have yet to meet any other person that uses that spelling. We had also never looked up any baby names and had NO idea how popular it had become. But I couldn't picture her with any other name (or spelling)...and the "fire" definition fits!!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Oct 22, 2008: "My son's name is Ayden Michael, he's now 4 years old. Of all the baby names I went through, when I saw "Aiden" I knew that was it!! Nice ring to it... beautiful name. But my name is spelled Sylvia, so I had to change it to Ayden. Ayden Michael sure is firey and handsome!" (Report as inappropriate)
